💙 How is Asher still waiting? 💙

We're genuinely surprised that this beautiful boy hasn't found his forever home yet.

Asher is the total package. He's affectionate, loyal, loves his people, enjoys getting out and about on adventures, and is just as happy curled up on the couch for cuddles at the end of the day. He has settled beautifully into foster care and has proven himself to be a wonderful companion who simply wants to be included in family life.

One of the things we love most about Asher is how easily he fits into a home. He's toilet trained, loves car rides, and is currently living in foster care with cats, where he's doing wonderfully. He has also previously lived with cats, making him a rare find for those looking for a dog-friendly feline household.

At just five months old, Asher is at that lovely age where he's still got all the fun and excitement of puppyhood, but he's already learning how to be a fantastic family dog.

He's the kind of dog who will happily join you for a morning walk, sit beside you while you enjoy a coffee, ride sh***un on a weekend adventure, and then snuggle up next to you at the end of the day.

Surely his family is out there somewhere. 💙

🐾💕 Why is everyone getting adopted except me? 💕🐾

Hi, I'm Luna! 👋

I'm the tiniest pup from a litter of seven American Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Ridgeback puppies. As you can see in the video, I might be the smallest, but that doesn't stop me from keeping up with my big brother and sister! 💪🐶

I've watched nearly all of my siblings pack their bags and head off to their forever homes, and while I'm so happy for them, I'm starting to wonder when it will be my turn... 🥺

Being the runt has never slowed me down. I'm full of confidence, personality, and puppy enthusiasm. I'm always right in the middle of the action, whether that's wrestling with my brothers, chasing toys, or seeing what everyone else is up to. If anything, I think being little just means there's more attitude packed into a smaller package! 😄

I love people, I love attention, and I have so much love to give. All I need now is a family to call my own. ❤️

🚑🐾 VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Drive Our Animal Ambulance! 🐾🚑

Love animals? Love driving? Want to make a real difference without putting kilometres on your own car or paying for fuel?

RSPCA Townsville is looking for Volunteer Animal Transfer Drivers to take the wheel of our dedicated RSPCA Animal Transfer Vehicle (our animal ambulance!) and help transport animals on the next step of their journey to a brighter future. ❤️

Whether they're heading to foster care, another shelter, a veterinary appointment, or a new home, you'll be helping some of our most vulnerable animals get where they need to go safely.

🚗 The best part? ✅ Drive our vehicle, not your own
✅ No fuel costs
✅ No extra wear and tear on your car
✅ Spend your day helping animals in need

What you'll be doing: 🐾 Safely transporting animals between RSPCA and partner locations
📦 Loading and securing animals comfortably for travel
🤝 Working with staff and partner organisations during pick-ups and drop-offs
❤️ Ensuring your furry passengers travel safely and stress-free

Why volunteer with us? 🚑 Get behind the wheel of the RSPCA animal ambulance
🐾 Develop your animal handling skills
🤝 Meet fellow animal lovers and become part of an amazing team
🏡 Play a direct role in helping animals reach foster care, rescue partners, and forever homes

What you'll need: ✅ Be 25 years or older (insurance requirement)
✅ Hold a current Queensland driver's licence
✅ Safe and courteous driving skills
✅ Good communication skills
✅ Ability to lift up to 10kg
✅ Basic animal handling confidence

🕘 Shifts generally run from 9am to 3pm, with some flexibility depending on travel requirements. Full training and orientation will be provided.

⚠️ A current tetanus vaccination is required before commencing.

Every journey matters. Sometimes the drive you take is the reason an animal gets a second chance. 🐶🐱💙

🤎🐾 Happy Tails for Jess! 🐾🤎

There’s nothing we love more than hearing how our animals are settling into their new homes, and Jess's update has absolutely made our day! 🥰

This beautiful senior Kelpie recently found her forever family, and it sounds like she's settled in as though she's always belonged there.

Her new family shared:

"Jess has settled in beautifully. It’s as if she has been a part of our family the whole time!" ❤️

The girls have completely fallen in love with her, and Jess has become their little shadow, following them wherever they go. It’s also been wonderful to hear that she’s really come out of her shell and is showing off her cheeky personality. 😊

"She has really broken out of her shell and shown us her character - cheeky gal!" 🥰

After waiting for her second chance, Jess is now living the life she deserves: spoiled, adored, and surrounded by love. 💕🐾
