Red Bike is a FINALIST!

We’re thrilled to be named a finalist in the Not-For-Profit, Community and Charities category at the 2026 Fraser Coast Business & Tourism Awards.

This recognition belongs to everyone who helps keep Red Bike moving. Our volunteers, supporters, sponsors and every person who donates, turns up or lends a hand. You make the work possible.

We’re proud to be part of a community that gets behind each other, and grateful to have our efforts recognised alongside other organisations making a difference.

At our volunteer committee meeting this week, we had a few special guests! We donated $500 directly to Damian and Jane to use as they see fit, partly from the Helmet Stand Damian made that we auctioned off and partly from our other fundraising activities.
They worked hard to put on the recent event that raised about $40,000 for MND Queensland, and the community thoroughly enjoyed it.
Red Bike Volunteers served a German sausage sizzle that day and raised much-needed funds for Mental Health Support.
Thanks to all our Volunteers, Supporters, Riders, and community; without you, this wouldn't be possible!

$10,000 donation delivers vital mental health support for Fraser Coast residents

More than 65 free counselling sessions were delivered to Fraser Coast residents last year thanks to a $10,000 donation from local charity Red Bike Adventures Inc.

Continuing its annual commitment, Red Bike Adventures presented another $10,000 cheque to Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (HBNC), helping residents access professional mental health counselling regardless of their financial circumstances.

The donation, made annually on October 10 to coincide with World Mental Health Day, supports people who cannot afford counselling or face lengthy waiting periods for professional assistance.

HBNC CEO Tanya Stevenson welcomed the contribution and its direct community impact.

“This $10,000 contribution from Red Bike is a wonderful example of local generosity being translated into meaningful support for people in our community who need access to mental health counselling and support,” Ms Stevenson said.

“We know that accessing timely mental health support can be life-changing. Contributions like this help us connect people with the professional care and support they need, when they need it most.”

Ms Stevenson also highlighted the importance of collaboration between charitable organisations with shared community objectives.

“Some of the greatest outcomes in our community happen when local organisations look beyond their own boundaries and recognise the value of supporting others who share their purpose.”

She said funding complementary programs should be viewed as an opportunity to strengthen, rather than dilute, a charity's mission.

“Supporting another organisation whose work aligns with your own doesn't diminish your charity's purpose. Quite the opposite. It extends your reach, strengthens your impact and ultimately allows your charitable mission to achieve even more.”

The annual Red Bike Adventures contribution demonstrates how local fundraising and charitable collaboration can deliver tangible, potentially life-changing outcomes for Fraser Coast residents.

One of the things RED BIKE ADVENTURES INC does every year, on the 10th of the 10th, is to donate $10,000 from the funds we raise throughout the year to the Hervey Bay Community Centre to fund Counselling sessions for those who need it but can't afford to speak with a professional or aren't able to wait the standard wait times to see someone.
That $10,000 from the 10th of the 10th last year funded over 65 counselling sessions for people who desperately needed it - for FREE!
With this next $10K we hope to help even more people! THIS IS WHAT IT'S ABOUT!
