I have been lucky enough growing up driving in the bush, I don't remember a time when there was not a 4x4 parked in our driveway, an I come from a big family. As a young boy I was always away on family trips, the High Country of Victoria, the Sandy Dunes of the Simpson Desert to the tip of Cape York. Over the years I have competed in offroad racing, enjoyed weekends away with the 4x4 club, driven 8x8 Armoured Vehicles in the Army and owned a 4x4 Accessories Shop

At this point in my life I find myself as a stay at home dad looking after my two little boys while I regain my mental health. Part of my recovery is trying to re-connect with people in the community and what better way to use my time then to raise money for Variety so more children can be given the same positive life experience as I did when I grew up.

Young Veterans is a platform by which former members of the defence force can reconnect with the community and by helping others we help our self. I will be donating my time, efforts and all costs involved with this event so we can show the wider community that veterans still have a lot to give.

With a bit of luck we can reach our target amount and you will all be seeing a Ford Ranger with big smiley face driving light coming around the corner or in a camp ground on the way to Darwin. Dust off those wallets , dig deep into those pockets and rid the ashtray of your dads work ute cause he has so many coins in there he wont notice $5 missing.
