Great to see Allied Health Providers building their digital health capability at our Introduction to Digital Health Technology workshop on Tuesday night.

Participants explored topics including My Health Record and the 1800Medicare app, secure messaging, telehealth, AI and cybersecurity, gaining confidence in using digital tools to support better communication, care coordination and patient outcomes.

Further Digital Health Technology sessions will be available to attend, so keep an eye out for a session near you soon!

Nine cases of measles have been recorded in South Australia as of 27 September.

HealthPathways SA's new Measles Pathway and Measles Outbreak Resources page have been developed to provide local guidance for clinicians, including assessment and management resources, vaccination information, infection control advice and notification requirements.

Consider measles in patients presenting with fever, cough, coryza, conjunctivitis and a descending morbilliform rash. If measles is suspected, arrange appropriate precautions and follow current SA Health guidance.

It was great to see practice nurses from NALHN and SALHN come together at our recent Practice Nurse Community Evenings.

These events provided a great opportunity for nurses to connect, share experiences and strengthen networks while building their clinical knowledge.

Attendees were able to hear how the Care Finder program is supporting vulnerable community members and gained practical insights from Daniela Nash's engaging education session on diabetes management.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversations across both evenings. Bringing practice nurses together to collaborate, learn and support one another helps strengthen primary care and improve outcomes for our communities.

We're looking forward to even more conversations at our CALHN Practice Nurse Community Evening in November. Stay tuned for more information.
