🐾 TCD Brie Reporting for Duty! 🐾
On Monday, Brie and I attended the quarterly Rockwall Ready meeting, led by the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management.
Rockwall Ready is a Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) group that brings together local nonprofits, agencies, faith-based organizations, businesses, and volunteers to strengthen our community’s preparedness and response efforts before, during, and after disasters. TCD is proud to be a member of this collaborative network.
This month’s meeting focused on the new disaster response websites and resources that will be available to both community members and volunteer organizations. These tools will help connect people with assistance, resources, and volunteer opportunities when emergencies occur. So cool 😎
While the humans were learning about disaster preparedness, Brie was hard at work building relationships of her own. She made lots of new friends, received plenty of pets, and left a lasting impression on the group. As always, she demonstrated the calm, steady presence that Tribute Comfort Dogs bring to stressful situations.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Rockwall County Emergency Management and fellow community organizations as we work together to support our neighbors when they need it most.
🐶 Brie may have slept through most of the meeting, but networking is exhausting.
