Keeping Maverick & Kelly from Bandit’s Brigade: The Legacy Continues in our prayers tonight. Kelly and her magnificent Great Danes are USO royalty. Sending them all our love & prayers 💕 🐾

It’s hard to even put this into words, but we are asking everyone to please keep Maverick in your prayers. 🐾

As many of you know, Maverick has already fought battles that should have broken him. He has beaten cancer twice. Last year, he faced a rare illness that suddenly took away his ability to walk. There were moments of fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak…but through the power of prayer, incredible veterinary care, and Maverick’s own fighting spirit, he overcame every obstacle and came back stronger than ever.

Today was supposed to be a routine yearly checkup. During the visit, we pointed out an area of concern that was aspirated, and unfortunately the results showed abnormal cells that are most likely cancerous.

Maverick is scheduled for surgery on June 16th in hopes they can completely remove it.

Watching him go through so much over the years has been incredibly hard. If I could take every bit of this pain and fight it for him myself, I would without hesitation. But what I can do is continue standing beside him, advocating for him, loving him fiercely, and making sure he receives the very best care possible.

Maverick is a survivor. He has proven time and time again just how strong he is, and we are holding onto hope once again.

Please send prayers, positive thoughts, and all the love you can for our sweet boy as he prepares for yet another battle.

To commemorate Memorial Day, TCD Brie and I visited DFW National Cemetery yesterday.

We have participated in flag placement, attended the Memorial Day ceremonies, and volunteered for flag removal, which has become an organizational and family tradition.

However, visiting after the flags have been placed and before the crowds arrive it gave us a special moment for our own peaceful reflection and remembrance of our fallen heroes. It is always a breathtaking tribute 🇺🇸

Water water everywhere but none to drink at the station. Caddo Mills Fire Rescue is in need of bottled water. Donations accepted at the station

Attention Caddo Mills Family —

We’ve officially reached that point…
The station coffee is strong, the trucks are clean… but the bottled water supply?

Missing. Gone. Possibly kidnapped.

Between calls, training, and trying not to melt in this Texas heat that’s eventually going to return, our crews are going through water faster than a rookie goes through their first paycheck.

We’re asking our awesome community for bottled water donations!

Cases, packs, a single bottle you found rolling around in your truck—we’re not picky (okay… maybe a little picky, no mystery bottles from 2007).

If you’d like to help keep your firefighters, EMTs and medics hydrated and ready to roll, you can drop donations off at the station anytime.

We promise:
-We’ll drink it
-We’ll appreciate it
-We won’t turn it into coffee (probably)

As always, we’re proud to serve this community—and y’all always show up for us in a big way.
