This week we had the pleasure of celebrating the champions of the Youth Week School vs School Trivia Competition – the amazing team from Oxley High School!

A huge congratulations to the students for their outstanding knowledge, teamwork and enthusiasm, which saw them take out the title against strong competition from schools across the region.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank the Tamworth Regional Youth Councillors for their hard work in planning and delivering this fantastic Youth Week event. Their dedication, leadership and commitment to creating opportunities for young people helped make the competition such a success.

Well done to everyone involved. It’s wonderful to see young people leading, participating and celebrating together in our community.

Today, the Tamworth Regional Youth Centre was pleased to support local young people by transporting athletes from our Drop-In Space to the 2026 UAA Indigenous Talent ID Day at the Tamworth Sports Dome.

This fantastic initiative, delivered by the Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS), provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people with the opportunity to showcase their talents and explore future sporting pathways.

Partnerships like these help remove barriers and ensure our young people can access experiences that build confidence, skills and future opportunities.

Well done to all the young athletes who participated today. We are proud to support you as you pursue your goals and reach your potential.

☕🍰 Do you love great coffee and delicious slices?

Come along to the Tamworth Regional Youth Centre (TRYC) this Friday from 4:00pm–6:00pm and enjoy a FREE coffee and sweet treat, prepared and served by some of the recent graduates of our Espresso Coffee and Safe Food Handling courses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support our young people as they put their newly acquired skills into practice and build confidence in a real-world setting.

Proudly supported by the NSW Government, this initiative is helping young people develop valuable skills for future employment and training opportunities.
