ADOPTER URGENTLY NEEDED BEFORE 22 JUNE 2026
With all shelters at capacity, an urgent animal must be adopted within their given timeframe to avoid the risk of being surrendered to an overcrowded pound or euthanised, making a fast adoption the difference between a safe future and a tragic outcome.
Location: Hawthorne, BRISBANE, QLD, 4171

Name: Iggy
Breed: Domestic Shorthair x Medium Hair
Age: 12 Years
Gender: Female
Weight: 4.5 kg
Litter Trained: Yes
What’s Included With Adoption
• Desexed and microchipped
• Examined by a veterinarian
• Behaviour and temperament observed by a veterinarian
• Up to date with parasite prevention (flea, tick, and worming)
• Personal items such as her blanket, food, electric feeder, water bowls, litter, and cat carrier.
Rehoming Due To: Due to changes in the household environment, Iggy’s owner is sadly no longer able to provide her with the calm home she needs to thrive.

Iggy is a sweet girl who thrives in a calm environment. She is the type of cat who takes her time getting to know people, building trust before showing her affectionate side. Once she feels safe, Iggy is a wonderfully relaxed companion who enjoys curling up on a warm lap, offering headbutts, and settling beside her favourite person. She loves sunny spots, quiet routines, and even enjoys a short wander outdoors each day.

Iggy would suit a peaceful adult-only home where she can be the centre of attention. She is looking for a home without children, cats, or dogs. Patient adopters who allow her time to settle will be rewarded with a sweet, loyal companion who forms strong bonds once she feels secure. With kindness and understanding, Iggy can return to being the relaxed, content girl she truly is.

Update: ADOPTED into a loving home
Location: Underwood, BRISBANE, QLD, 4119

Name: Miso and Mango
Breed: Domestic Shorthairs
Age: 9 Months
Gender: Female and Male
Litter Trained: Yes
Good With: Children and cats
What’s Included With Adoption
• Desexed and microchipped
• Examined by a veterinarian
• Behaviour and temperament observed by a veterinarian
• Up to date with parasite prevention (flea, tick, and worming)
• Personal items such as their food, food bowls, toys, and accessories.
Rehoming Due To: Due to worsening allergies to cats, Miso and Mango’s owner is sadly no longer able to keep them.

Miso and Mango are a playful, affectionate pair with friendly personalities and a wonderful bond. They are in a fun, cheeky stage of life and love spending their time playing, exploring, and following each other around. Both are social with people and enjoy being involved in daily life. Mango is the more openly affectionate of the two and loves snuggling close, while Miso has a more independent nature but still enjoys companionship. They are both known for their loud purrs and their love of treats, food, and playtime.

In a new home, Miso and Mango would be best suited to an indoor environment together. They are good with children and have friendly, gentle natures around people of all ages. As young cats, they would thrive with plenty of enrichment and interaction. Miso and Mango would suit a loving home that appreciates both their affectionate sides and their playful personalities, allowing them to continue growing into confident and devoted companions together.

This is what a lasting adoption looks like.
Not just a new home.
Not just a successful adoption.

Two years later, still sleeping on the bed. Still being spoiled. Still completely adored.

“Bindi is still very much being loved. I cooked all the meals for her. Get the best cut for her from the butcher. Very fussy eater nowadays. Sleeps with me every night on my bed.
Gets on fabulously with her sister cat.” Shared her adopter.

When people support Into Loving Homes through adoption and donations, this is what they’re helping make possible.

Not temporary solutions. Not shelter stays.

Carefully matched, lasting adoptions where animals become family.

If you’d like to help more animals find the kind of love Bindi has, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today or adopt.

Together, we can bring more animals Into Loving Homes.

“Missy is going really well! She is honestly the best dog and super cruisey! She has already grown such a strong bond with both my partner and I and her sassy personality is our favourite! She is still getting comfortable at times with new people but is much more settled and gets over that feeling quite fast with our reassurance! We are both so grateful that she’s in our lives and it feels like we’ve had her forever and ever.”

Large breed dogs like Missy are often the most vulnerable in shelters. They commonly face the longest stays, lower adoption rates, and sadly, the highest risk of never making it back out. For many adopters, taking on a large dog without knowing their history can feel like too much of a risk.

Do they have any aggression?
Are they good with children?
Cats?
Other dogs?
Farm animals?
Can they contain well behind fencing?
Do they have anxiety, routines, quirks or training needs?

These are important questions — and in a shelter environment, the answers are often unknown.

With our home-to-home adoption service, a dog’s history, habits, personality, routines and needs remain intact. It allows adopters to truly understand who they are welcoming into their family, creating safer, more suitable and more successful long-term matches for both the dog and the humans involved. As well as peace of mind for the family needing to rehome them.

Together, we can help keep more dogs out of shelters and safely Into Loving Homes. 🤍
