SHOWCASE 26 exhibition Intake was well-received today.

The Team: Liz, Cathy, Kareena, Lexia, Anne, Marie, Brett and Rick - worked like pros. Many thanks to them all for volunteering their assistance.

Thankyou to Hazelhurst Curatorial Team of Curator Victoria Wynne-Jones and C/Asst Caitlin Miller who were most accommodating.

SEEING OUR ART was the topic of our Discussion Group yesterday.
A display of artwork of many different mediums was appraised for focal point, tonal perspective, colour intensity, choice of medium and subject, and our connection to and through art.
A great variety of work was admired, discussed, and suggestions noted. There was a pastel figurative seascape, koi carp in monotone, soaring cliffline and rugged path, poppies in oil, a heritage building in a rural landscape, feminine figures and chakra energy lines, woven stories, detailed ink drawing, outback watercolours, angophora and eucalypt forests, snow-capped fields, a restful seascape, riverboats, dragons and calligraphy, printmaking experiments, a soft misty abstract landscape, and details from nature.

SHIRE CREATIVITY EXHIBITION for the HERITAGE FESTIVAL
Attention all Continuum Members:
Entries for the Shire Creativity exhibition (part of the Heritage Festival) close on Monday 27th April.
Members could please deliver work on the Tuesday 28th April at the Sylvania Hall between 10am and 2.30pm; or on Friday night 1st May at South Village between 7pm and 7.30pm.
If this is not possible please contact Continuum Art Society's Secretary Marivic to make an alternative arrangement.

The 2026 Drummoyne Art Society Open Award Exhibition is now on until April 19th. This exhibition not only includes DAS members but also exhibitors from other art societies, such as Continuum Arts Society.

Encompassing 375 works from a diverse range of artists, it is the biggest show of its kind in Inner West Sydney.

The show runs every day.
All works are for sale, free entry.

To the incredible artists, thank you for sharing your work and making the world more colourful. To the DAS volunteers and committee thank you all.

A great drawing workshop today for Continuum members by Penelope Richardson - an Australian artist based in Munich, Germany. Penelope recently did an artist's residency at in Bilpin, NSW, focusing on experimental drawing and material testing.
Artists hatched, cross-hatched, stippled, doodled lines making marks in pencil, ink, watercolour, charcoal, pastel, coloured pencil and markers.
