Amer el Hosni walked in feeling like he didn't belong.

He hadn't grown up surrounded by the Muslim community, and at first he was in awe of the other participants and mentors, quietly wondering if he measured up. But the group didn't let him stand on the edges. They made him feel welcome, and they showed him a way of living he realised he wanted for himself.

The first sight of the Kaaba is a moment that brings many to tears, a highlight of your umrah.

Ali, one of the mentors on our tour, gave his up. He stepped back so the participants could get close and take in that first glimpse for themselves.

Elvir, one of our Adelaide participants, hasn't forgotten it. Because that's who these mentors are. They're not here because they have to be. Over 40 women have now graduated from our sewing course in Lebanon, walking away with a skillset they can use to earn a living for themselves and their families.

This sustainable income project is a lifeline for so many of these families, offering not just support, but independence and dignity that lasts.
