EXOTIC BULLDOG SOCIETY AUSTRALIA BREEDER’S CODE OF ETHICS Effective from 02/11/2014 This Society documents the linage of British and French Bulldogs. Promoting the breed/s as intended and working towards breeding dogs within the breed standards. Upon signing any litter application of EBSA (Exotic Bulldog Society Australia) each breeder is bound by the Code of Ethics. All information you supply to Admin must be true and correct to the best of your knowledge, if admin suspect that any information is misleading or untrue we reserve the right to request for more information and evidence to assist us with all enquiries. EBSA promotes responsible dog ownership including the keeping, welfare when breeding, placement of dogs and does NOT promote or support commercial dog breeding. Any reports or suspected cases of cruelty or negligence towards any animal or over breeding are reported to Admin, will be investigate this further. If it is found to be proven correct admin will instantly banned and further dealing with the breeder and report them to all appropriate authorities. All EBSA breeders will be given the choice to register their puppies on FULL or LIMITED register. Breeders will have the opinion to transfer any puppy on Limited register to FULL register if they see fit. EBSA will NOT be liable for any health issue in any registered pup/dog that is proven to have any genetic problem by a licensed veterinarian. Breeders who DO NOT deal with any health issue(s) where they have been given proof of any condition from a licensed veterinarian in a professional manner- WILL NO LONGER ALLOWED TO REGISTER ANY FURTHER LITTERS VIA EBSA! EBSA breeders agree to and will abide by the following breeding regulations: • Minimum age for females to be bred from is Twelve (12) months old • Females can only have two (2) litters in a Twelve (12) month period and then they need to be rested Twelve (12) months before breeding again • If a Caesarean Section is required, a vet report to state that the female is fit to carry another litter consecutively is required prior to mating • Amount of litters bred in a female’s lifespan may not exceed four (4) • Amount of caesarean Section in a females lifespan may not exceed three (3) • Four (4) or more litters where a caesarean is required, approval by the breeder’s vet to state that the female is in good health to be bred prior to mating taking place • Males must have two (2) descending testicles • Breeders have the right to use an un-proven and outside stud dog • Must NOT REPEAT a mating where a Genetic Health Issues has been detected in a previous litter. Breeders agree to give EBSA admin all the information regarding any health issue found. • Aim to breed within the breed standard for the improvement of the breed • ALL puppies are to be vaccinated and microchipped at 6 – 8 weeks of age. Proof of this is to be given to the new puppy owner. • Prior to any mating taking place both the sire and dam must be vet check by a licensed veterinarian and the vet must fill in a EBSA vet check form, in which the breeder is to forward with their litter register forms • Will not breed from dogs that are 75% white back to another mostly white line • Will not breed from any dog that your vet has not approved for breeding If the above guidelines are not followed, litter registration may be refused.
