Our Education and Community Centre in Afghanistan has been built. Please help us to open it! Mahboba’s Promise Inc began building a desperately needed Education & Community Centre for Takhar children and orphans 5 years ago. The centre is ready to provide education for boys and girls in primary and secondary school. They will be taught literacy, numeracy and other subjects which will help them to
have hope for a better future.
“The running costs of the centre is about $120,000 for one year ($10,000 per month), but Mahboba’s Promise doesn’t have that money,” says the founder Mahboba with tears in her eyes, “to give at least 100 children the opportunity to live and learn.”
“Takhar has terrible child labour & child abuse statistics in Afghanistan …..thousands of these kids go through traumas. Takhar is a remote town with far away from capital cities, the people are extremely poor. The suffering of children in Takhar has to be seen to be believed”, says Mahboba. “This centre will save so many lives and give hopes for these kids who have nothing in their life.”

Your donation will help provide: textbooks, teachers, chairs and desks, library, educational resources and equipment. The centre will also serve as a place for street kids who have no home to live in safety. During the day, other local children from the surrounding community will come and have access to education.
