A quick update from AWGACS CEO Claire Pullen on what's been happening these past couple of weeks!

Major AI companies have the resources to license creative works from Australian artists and writers to train their models. Instead, many are choosing to invest heavily in attempts to weaken our copyright laws.

Australia is doing important work to set a strong precedent for creative rights internationally. Let's not undermine that progress.

"These LLMs are built on stolen works ... these models do not work without the copyrighted works of my members and other creators."

We thank Senator Jacqui Lambie for her commitment to protecting Australia's creative rights and industries.

Big tech companies like OpenAI and Anthropic continue to use Australian content without fair licensing or compensation, even though they can afford to pay for it. We need to stand firm for proper recognition and fair value.
