HYCS strives to connect its members on a professional level. HYCS seeks to provide a forum for young Hellenes to build networks with each other on a professional level in which ever field that may be. As such, professional networking events featuring successful members of the Hellenic community as key note speakers will occur throughout each year. HYCS endeavours to develop career focused initiatives to assist young Hellenes in developing key relationships and skills within the workforce. Education
HYCS will play a role in the education of young Hellenes, looking to the future while acknowledging the past. Through interaction with successful Greeks in the community, we look forward to inspiring the next generation of Greeks to be at the top of their field, be it in business, politics, law, economics or the media. HYCS will also take time to discuss current events in Greece and look through many periods of Greek history. By considering the dynamics of Greece and its regional relationships, we will gain a greater understanding of what makes Greece what it is today. Culture
There is nothing quite like a proud Greek youth to stand out from a cross-section of young people, but here at HYCS, we don't only encourage our members to cling onto their cultural and ancestral roots, but to have them on display for the whole of Sydney to see. With the use of facilities at the Beta Gallery, HYCS is committed to bringing a variety of culturally-related activities and events to our members. Whether its hosting a seminar on the tug of war between the philosophies of Socrates and Plato, a concert showcasing the best young Greek musicians in Sydney, or screening the latest film to come from the Greek Film Festival, HYCS has something on offer to please every Hellene and Phil-Hellene.
