The Pop Up Project

The Pop Up Project We hope to inspire disadvantaged youths with practical business skills - making/selling coffee and waffles - so they look forward to a brighter future! ☕ Cool.

We love food. From streets of New York, to the London underground, to the bustling nightmarkets of Bangkok; hot dog stands, chips with mayonnaise and satay skewers. Food makes up the cultural heritage of a society and the identity of a city. We are thinking niche. and hip. We give young people the opportunity to be part of The Pop Up Project. You'll see them whipping some finger-lickin' good food

up at the local markets (think: Glebe, Balmain, Bondi, Manly). We want to give them employment opportunities, business and hospitality skills. They'll be running their own show, create their own business and be part of the process from A-Z. And we'll guide them. We're young people too. Our special project is part of a much greater movement. We're a group from Sydney University, but we're a small node in a big network called Enactus.* It's a not-for-profit organisation spanning across 37 countries with 62,000 participating students. We've dedicated over 7,300,000 volunteer hours among us and this project is just one of 6,700 community outreach projects around the world.

*(we're trying to make this a real word. It stands for entrepreneurial action, and well, us)
