For the first time in Melbourne, the TIME and SKÅL Melbourne communities are coming together for one special industry event.

Hosted by our wonderful partners at 50 Degrees North, this evening is all about connection, shared experience and the power of community across the travel industry.

TIME is built on mentorship, support and helping travel professionals grow through the wisdom and generosity of others.

SKÅL Melbourne is one of the industry’s most respected communities, founded on the philosophy of doing business amongst friends.

Bringing these two communities together is a wonderful opportunity to connect mentors, mentees, graduates, leaders, business owners, emerging talent and industry friends in one room.

We are also delighted to welcome Penny Spencer to Melbourne, who will share what TIME truly means and the impact this community continues to have across the industry.

The evening will begin with a workshop from Mari Rasanen, CEO at 50 Degrees North, followed by networking, drinks, grazing platters and plenty of meaningful industry conversation.

📍 50 Degrees North
📅 Tuesday 16 June 2026
🕠 Workshop: 5:30pm to 6:00pm
🥂 Networking: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Australia’s travel industry is built on passion, but behind the scenes, it also relies on advocacy, partnerships and the important work that keeps the sector moving forward.

In the latest episode of the TIME Podcast, we speak with Emmalita Malmberg, National Manager Corporate Partnerships at ATIA - Australian Travel Industry Association, about the role of a peak body in supporting Australia’s $30 billion travel sector, and why strong relationships across airlines, cruise, insurance, tour operators and the wider travel trade matter more than ever.

Emmalita also shares her own TIME mentoring journey, from building confidence and self-awareness to making a big career move. It is a thoughtful conversation about leadership, communication, knowing your strengths, setting boundaries and the powerful reminder that clear is kind, and kind is not always nice.

As always, thanks to our wonderful hosts Timo Lorenzen and Arnaud Michelin.

Listen now and share it with someone in the industry who would benefit from the conversation. You'll find it on your favourite podcast platform, or click on this link https://www.buzzsprout.com/1842928/episodes/19119951

Another fantastic evening for the TIME community in Melbourne, and a reminder of just how powerful it is when our industry comes together with purpose.

Hosted by the Goldman Group, the event brought mentors, mentees, graduates and industry leaders into one room. Anthony Goldman’s reflections on mentorship and the legacy of learning from others set the tone, while Goldman Travel’s Kate Arnst shared her post-program journey, encouraging everyone to lean into opportunities, even when they feel a little uncomfortable.

A surprise appearance from ATIA - Australian Travel Industry Association's Dean Long added another layer to the conversation, reinforcing the role mentorship plays in shaping careers across our industry.

A big thank you to Anthony Goldman and the team for hosting, and to everyone who showed up and contributed to what makes this community so special.

If you're based in Melbourne and would like to be involved with the TIME community, please reach out to Nicole O'Sullivan - VIC representative, or email Belinda Montgomery at [email protected]

A strong professional reputation doesn’t happen by accident; it’s built with intention.

Ahead of our recent Graduation and Networking event, Amanda Behre, founder of Dear Thrive, delivered a practical and insightful workshop on building your professional reputation to grow visibility.

With close to 20 years’ experience across global travel and tech brands, Amanda guided attendees on how to build confidence when networking, identify their strengths, craft a clear personal narrative and communicate their value. The session focused on real, actionable strategies, like refining your elevator pitch and building credibility.

A valuable reminder that how you’re perceived in the industry plays a powerful role in shaping your opportunities, and that with the right tools, it’s something you can actively take control of.

Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your expertise with the TIME community.
