A new chapter begins šŸ

After 15 years of supporting travel industry professionals across Australia and seven successful years in New Zealand, we're incredibly proud to announce the official launch of the Travel Industry Mentor Experience Canada.

This exciting milestone means even more travel, tourism, hospitality, cruise and aviation professionals will have access to the power of mentorship, helping develop future leaders and strengthen our industry for years to come.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make this expansion possible, especially long time TIME Mentor and Advisor Steve Farrelly, as well as Edith Beaudoin, who will lead the program in Canada.

TIME Canada officially launches in Toronto on 23 September 2026, and we are Calling Mentors, Mentees and Partners in Canada to get involved.

TIME Canada will offer the same proven mentoring framework that has underpinned success in Australia and New Zealand, while being locally guided and supported by Canadian industry leaders.

Canadian professionals at all career stages are encouraged to get involved:

Another fantastic evening connecting with our Queensland travel community last month. More than 50 travel and aviation professionals joined us at the Brisbane German Club for an evening of networking, inspiration and meaningful conversations.

A big thank you to our Queensland State Representatives Emily Foy and Jacqui Tufala, our panel facilitator Christine Oliver, and our wonderful panelists Penny Spencer, Julie Rogers and Nina Hedges for sharing their career journeys, leadership insights and the value of mentorship.

We're also grateful to Mark Richards, National Sales Manager for Carnival Cruise Line for encouraging attendees to apply for professional development opportunities within the travel sector - including Carnival's own scholarships across 2026 for the Travel Industry Mentor Experience.

Sydney TIME community, have you registered for our next event? Join us at Amadeus in Sydney on Wednesday 19 August as we celebrate the graduation of Program 65 and warmly welcome the new participants joining Program 68.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of our graduates, support our newest mentees as they begin their TIME journey, and connect with mentors, graduates, partners and industry friends who continue to strengthen this community.

We are proud to announce our first-ever memorial scholarship, honouring Industry Leader Richard Froggatt. This prestigious new initiative will be offered as part of TIME's Program 68, commencing 19 August 2026, with applications closing 17 July 2026.

Open exclusively to aviation industry professionals, the Richard Froggatt Memorial Scholarship celebrates the legacy of Richard, who devoted more than three decades to shaping the Australian airline and tourism sector.

Along with senior airline roles with British Airways then most notably with Lauda Air, he served as Chairman of the Board of Airline Representatives of Australia (BARA), was Board Member of the Tourism Task Force Australia & Melbourne Convention & Visitors Bureau along with President of SkƄl International.

Richardā€™s life and career were defined not only by his professional success but also by his commitment to people, partnerships, and progress within the travel and aviation communities.

The Richard Froggatt Memorial Scholarship has been established to honour Richardā€™s enduring impact and to support the next generation of aviation professionals as they continue to strengthen and evolve the industry he loved.

Gaye Wood, Richardā€™s life and business partner says, ā€œRichard would be so proud of this special Scholarship in his name. He adored helping people develop, grow and go on to more successful lives and careers. This TIME Scholarship is the perfect fit to honour his legacy."

The introduction of this memorial scholarship further reinforces TIMEā€™s mission as a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to developing talent across the travel, tourism, hospitality, cruise, and aviation sectors. What a fantastic evening in Melbourne it was! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first collaborative networking event with SkĆ„l International Melbourne, proudly hosted by 50 Degrees North Group | B-Corpā„¢.

It was wonderful to see mentors, mentees, alumni, SkƄlleagues and industry professionals come together to build new connections, share ideas and strengthen our incredible travel community.

A special thank you to Mari Rasanen for an engaging workshop, Penny Spencer for sharing the TIME - Travel Industry Mentor Experience story and vision, Craig Hunt for highlighting the value of industry networks in supporting career growth, and our Victorian State Representative, Nicole O'Sullivan, for bringing it all together.
