The Kennedy Foundation is proud to support the next generation of journalists as they take their first steps toward becoming tomorrow’s media leaders.

➡ Each offers a 12-week immersive experience, with hands-on learning alongside industry professionals. Recipients will also receive a $12,000 stipend to support them during the program.

We’re proud to announce a terrific new appointment to the Kennedy Foundation Board.

Please join us in welcoming Alex Needs, a highly respected senior leader who has helped shape the evolution of Australia’s broadcast and digital news landscape.

From his early days in magazine publishing through to live television across A Current Affair, Today and 9 News, and more recently leading the modernisation of news delivery across video and social platforms ; Alex brings a depth of experience that will be invaluable to the Foundation.

As our Chair Carl Dumbrell said : “Alex has been at the cutting edge of the industry’s digital transformation, and his insight will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and support excellence in journalism”.
