"A BOY NAMED BEN"
The MRF is delighted to announce the release of a new animated video for children/young people, titled "A Boy Named Ben"

This short animated video has been developed in partnership with Peter Bullimore and the National Paranoia Network (UK).

"Ben" is a message designed to guide and encourage children & young people (typically around the ages of 7-12 years), who are experiencing, or have experienced, significant pain and suffering at the hands of others (trauma), and to motivate them to speak out about it to someone they trust.

In many such cases, like Ben's, the onset of hearing voices may be a direct result of these traumatic experiences in their lives.

Below is a link to the video:

We would love your feedback, and please share with anyone you feel may benefit from, or be interested in, the video.

It's always gratifying to run a workshop for carers and family of people with lived experience of hearing voices.
Yesterday (Thursday) we met a wonderful group of people in Nowra who were seeking to learn more about the experience itself, as well as any tools or helpful hints they can use to better support and care for their loved ones.
A big thank you to Renae and Jade from "Stride" in Nowra for organising the workshop.

Delivered training in Huskisson and Wagga Wagga in the last 2 weeks on "Facilitating Hearing Voices Groups & The Hearing Voices Approach".
There has been a real groundswell of interest in the establishment of Self-Help Groups for voice hearers through 2025 which is very exciting.
Looking forward to more of the same in 2026.

IT'S DRAGONFLY DAY !

Sadly our planned event was a washout, but a few of us braved the elements for a short walk at Cronulla followed by some "light refreshments" at Cronulla RSL club.

DRAGONFLY DAY 2025

This Sunday (3/8) is Dragonfly Day, marking 10 years since the MRF introduced the event to raise awareness of people living with Voices, Paranoia and their links to Childhood Trauma.

We also remember those who are no longer with us.

The MRF committee, family and friends will once again be holding an informal walk along the beautiful Cronulla Esplanade in recognition of the occasion.

Please take some time out this Sunday to remember those with lived experience past and present. Perhaps even get a few people together for a short walk in your own area to show your support.

The Dragonfly symbolises, Hope, Courage, Strength and much more.

This little guy is called "Blue Dasher".
