What our carer community says 🩷

We don’t say this enough, but running Help You Cope only means something because of the carers who walk through our doors (or joined that first support group years ago, or hit “register” not knowing what to expect).

These are a few of the messages we’ve been sent from carers in their own words. We’re sharing them because if you’re on the fence about coming along, maybe this is your sign.

You are not alone in this. And there’s a seat waiting for you.

She scribbled some notes, handed me a piece of paper, and that was it.

No roadmap. No one to call. Just “good luck.”

I didn’t need another appointment. I needed someone who got it.

So in 2019, I started a small group. Just carers, talking. No agenda, no pressure, just people who understood, which was more than I’d found anywhere else.

That became Help You Cope. Now entering our 8th year.

And now, something new: Caring for the Carers.

Free wellbeing sessions, starting 28 August. Because you deserve support too.

We always hear it…carers need more support, and there just isn’t enough out there.

So we built something for exactly that. 🤍

Introducing Caring for the Carers, a brand new program, separate from our usual monthly support groups.

Think, walking in nature, coffee, morning tea, and a space to connect with other carers who genuinely get it.

No pressure. No sitting in a circle. Just real support, the way it should feel.

First session: 28 August
Come to one, or come to all four, totally up to you
☕ Free. Laid-back. Zero pressure.

Free. Morning tea included. No cost, no catch.

Can I be honest?

As Carers we give so much every single day. And amongst it all, we forget about ourselves.

So we’re doing something to help.

We’re launching a program just for carers, a space to breathe, connect, and finally get the break you need.

Registrations and more info coming in the next couple of days, and We can’t wait to share it with you.

👀 Keep an eye on this page, you will not want to miss it.
