My name is Mac Millan Anderson and I am the deputy headteacher here at Mphanga primary school. Where we are standing is in the farm field where we practice irrigation farming. As you can see we have planted maize and this is a nursery for tomatoes, spinach and other vegetables that will support the meals program for the school.

By restoring soil health, reducing input costs, and strengthening local food systems, permaculture empowers families in and to nourish themselves sustainably and independently.
