National Stroke Week may have wrapped up on 9 August, but for us at SHARE the message remains important all year round. We know regular movement is one of the most powerful ways to support brain, heart and overall health. Moving more and staying active can help manage key stroke risk factors such as blood pressure, heart health and strength — and for people recovering after stroke, gentle, guided exercise can play an important role in rebuilding balance, confidence and independence.
“At SHARE, we’re proud to help build healthier communities by supporting people to stay active, connected and well through affordable exercise and health education programs. Whether you’re focused on prevention, recovery or simply moving more in a safe and social environment, SHARE offers welcoming programs designed to help you keep moving at your own pace.” Adrian Prakash, SHARE CEO.
