In 2011 I committed to raise $20,000 in the Off the Mat into the World (OTM), Global Seva Challenge. The proceeds of the challenge were raised to support grass-roots Haitian relief organizations creating sustainable solutions on the ground in Haiti. http://offthematintotheworld.org/action.html
After raising the money I traveled with the OTM group to Haiti in Feb 2012 on a two week "Bare Witness"
tour. The trip for me was not just the clique "life altering" experience that you may expect it would be but an actual awaking in my life. I have always known that I was put on this earth for a greater purpose but on this trip I saw glimpses of what that might be. Moving forward on my current path I have met, worked with and partnered with some amazing people, doing amazing work.... All of which I want to share with my friends, family and anyone who is interested! I am updating this original Seva Challenge page to start using it as a way to get out the message about the current projects I am working on. I will eventually have a dedicated website and FB page that supports all the projects but for now this is where you will find out about what is happening with me.
