As we close out this year, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

To our community – for trusting us, walking alongside us, and allowing us to do this work with purpose and heart.

To our clients and families – thank you for welcoming us into your lives and journeys.

To our staff and facilitators – your care, integrity, and commitment to culture and people is what makes Yarning Crescent what it is. We couldn’t do this without you.

This year has been about connection, growth, and impact – and we are so proud of what we’ve built together.

As we step into 2026, we do so with excitement, clarity, and big vision. We are ready to deepen our impact, strengthen our services, and continue creating safe, culturally grounded spaces where our people and communities can thrive.

Here’s to new beginnings, stronger partnerships, and meaningful change.
Wishing everyone a safe, joyful New Year and an incredible 2026 ahead.

With gratitude and purpose, YC Family.

Koori Netball Gala Day.

What an amazing day celebrating culture, community, and sport at the Koori Netball Gala Day.

A huge congratulations to our Junior team (10–12 years) who came 3rd place, and our Mixed Seniors who took out 1st place!

We’re so proud of everyone’s effort, teamwork, and deadly spirit on and off the court.

Big thanks to all our players, coaches, officials, families, and the incredible people behind the scenes who made the day possible — your hard work and support keep our community strong.

This year, we come together to celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week is a time to honour the strength of our Elders, share stories, and stand proud in our identity.

Whether you’re joining a local event, having a yarn with community, or taking time to learn more about Country and culture, we encourage everyone to get involved and show your support.

Let’s keep walking together, respecting the past, and building a stronger future.

Last week, NCNS (Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services) brought together over 1,000 students from 8–10 different schools right across the Penrith local area.

Yarning Crescent was proud to be part of this fantastic event, delivering six interactive artefacts sessions with groups of 20–40 curious and engaged young people.

Students had the chance to get hands-on with cultural artefacts, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of Aboriginal history and identity.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this incursion such a success — it’s moments like these that build respect, awareness and stronger community ties.Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services
