Change Politics There’s a better way to do politics. Change Politics exists to improve democracy in Australia.

And we believe this can be done through the systematic use of Citizens' Assemblies. The need to win elections incentivises all the things we don’t like about politics. Think constant negativity, no effort to find solutions, and a constant focus on campaigning. What if, instead, we chose people from all walks of life by democratic lottery to help politicians make decisions with everybody’s benefit

in mind. They would be truly representative and wouldn’t fight with one another for the sake of it. We’d have a better system with people like you free to actually listen, learn, and work with each other to address our issues and agree on solutions.
