Connecting People. Strengthening Community. 💙

Today, we successfully hosted our Community Drop-In Day at Dean Park Neighbourhood Centre, bringing together community members and essential service providers under one roof.

Together with the dedicated ICSA Early Practitioners Team, our amazing volunteers, and our partners, we were able to provide practical support to community members through:

✅ Resume tips and guidance
✅ A Q&A desk for support and general enquiries
✅ Connections to essential government and education services
✅ Friendly conversations and practical assistance

It was wonderful to see so many community members engage with the services, ask questions, and receive the support they needed. Events like these demonstrate the power of collaboration in making information, resources, and opportunities more accessible to everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, volunteers, the ICSA Early Practitioners Team, and our community members who made today's event a success. We look forward to continuing to support and strengthen our community together.

Each year the Indian (Sub-Cont) Crisis & Support Agency runs an event to remember and honour those who have lost their lives due to Domestic & Family Violence. We also acknowledge the loss of those who are left behind, as each life lost breaks many hearts with a long term impact.

We may not all be able to join an in person event but we can join a short online event to hold the minute silence. Please join us and feel free to share with your networks and join us as only if we stand together can we make a difference to a person's safety in the very place they should be safe - at home; in family.

The Hills Police respond to over 3,000 reports of domestic and family violence (DFV) each year. We know that DFV is frequently unreported and that there are thousands more cases in The Hills community every year.
In NSW in 2025 there were 32 deaths due to domestic homicide. 6 were children.
1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men will be victims of domestic violence in their lifetime; be it physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, elder abuse or a combination of these.
