PREPARE 4 PRACTICE – MORE THAN A PLACEMENT, A PATHWAY INTO PRACTICE
Are you a student studying Social Work, Community Services, Human Services or a related discipline and preparing to take the next step into professional practice?
The Prepare 4 Practice (P4P) Early Practitioner Program provides students with an opportunity to build practical skills, professional confidence and sector knowledge while gaining meaningful experience within a community services environment.
Through P4P, students can develop experience across client work, casework and case management, program and project development, group facilitation, research, professional development, and interagency engagement. The program also provides opportunities to explore specialist practice areas including Domestic & Family Violence, Migration & Settlement, Men’s Support, Complex Case Management, Crisis Support and Culturally Informed Practice.
P4P is designed to bridge the gap between study and professional practice. Students are supported to strengthen their practice skills, develop professional networks, engage in reflective learning, and gain a deeper understanding of working within the community services sector.
