Sometimes a group setting just isn't the right fit — and honestly? That's completely valid. 💜

FutureTech offers one-to-one Peer Support for neurodivergent young people aged 7–25, and it looks different for every young person we work with.

It might be getting out into the community, building confidence with public transport, developing everyday skills, or just having a consistent, supportive person to do something enjoyable with. Sessions are shaped around your young person — their interests, their communication style, what helps them feel at ease.

We're neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based. We're not here to change who your child is. We're here to walk alongside them.

Happy International Left Handers Day! 🖐️✨

Today, 13 August, we're celebrating all the left-handers in our community — and there are more of you than you might think! 👀

Did you know there's a well-documented link between being left-handed and neurodivergence? Many autistic people, ADHDers, and those with dyslexia are more likely to be left-handed — and we think that's a pretty cool reminder that the way our brains are wired shows up in all kinds of wonderful ways.

At FutureTech Australia, we believe that difference is a strength. Whether you write with your left hand, your right hand, or you've given up on handwriting entirely and gone full keyboard 😄 — you belong here.

Term 3 started with The Case of the Extremely Suspicious Incident, and our FutureTech investigators got straight to work.

The mission? Sort through some very suspicious evidence, figure out what was actually observed (not just guessed), and see if they could piece together what really happened.

There were coded messages, mystery objects, unexpected plot twists and some genuinely impressive detective theories. 🕵️

This is only the beginning. Over the next few weeks we'll be diving into fingerprints, hidden clues, secret codes and forensic science as we tackle a few mysteries that may or may not be completely ridiculous.

Safe to say the investigation is on. 👀

Every parent and carer wants to see their young person feel accepted, valued, and able to be themselves.

For many autistic and neurodivergent young people, finding a community where they don't have to mask, explain themselves, or fit into someone else's expectations can make all the difference.

Inclusion isn't about asking people to change who they are. It's about creating environments that are fair, supportive, and welcoming from the start. That means listening, respecting different ways of communicating and learning, and recognising that every young person has strengths worth celebrating.

Disability rights are human rights, and every young person deserves opportunities to connect, learn, and thrive in a community that values them for who they are.

Together, we can help build a future where every young person feels like they belong! 💙

Today is International Day of Friendship 💛

Friendship can be life-changing — especially for neurodivergent young people who may have experienced exclusion, bullying or feeling misunderstood.

At FutureTech, one of the most powerful things we witness is young people finding others who get them. Shared interests, parallel play, inside jokes, gaming together, deep conversations about special interests, sitting quietly side-by-side — friendship can look many different ways.

Everyone deserves connection, belonging and people they feel safe to be themselves around.

What should education look like after 2030? UNESCO wants to hear directly from young people.

The global survey asks young people to share:

🌏 Their hopes and aspirations for the future
🎓 What they want to change about education and learning
💡 What action they are willing to take to help create that change

Responses will contribute to UNESCO’s Post-2030 Youth Education and Learning Agenda, which will be presented at the 2027 Global Education Meeting and help shape future education priorities worldwide.

Education decisions affect young people most—so young people should have a meaningful say in what comes next.

The survey is open until 20 September 2026. Young people can respond individually, or organisations can facilitate a discussion and submit a collective response.

📢 Term 3 enrolments are now open at Futuretech!

Do you know a young person aged 13–25 who would enjoy exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment?

Our STEAM-focused workshops are held every Saturday at PHIVE Library, Parramatta. Each session explores a different hands-on topic, with activities designed to build confidence, support wellbeing, and foster meaningful connections.

✨ Every new participant is welcome to attend a free, no-obligation trial session before deciding whether to enrol.
