Victoria Bushfire Response | Early 2026

Severe bushfires across Victoria burned 400,000+ hectares, forcing evacuations in towns including Longwood and Ruffy.

Convoy of Hope Australia worked with local partners to deliver rapid relief, deploying generators to support access in restricted zones and providing 161 nights of emergency accommodation for 19 displaced families in partnership with Airbnb.

Early on-ground presence helped strengthen coordination with local agencies and support recovery efforts across 14 affected communities.

The team at are lacing up their running shoes to take on Heartbreak Hill. They are participating in this year's City2Surf to honour the memory of their dear friend and colleague, Caitlin, who was a dedicated advocate for helping others, and recently featured in Elle magazine for her incredible story.

Caitlin was particularly passionate about Dress Her with Dignity, a Convoy of Hope initiative that supports survivors of domestic violence. This program provides brand-new clothing, underwear, and hygiene products to women leaving hospital, allowing them to take their next steps toward freedom with dignity rather than in a hospital gown.

We want to recognise the Another Colour team for their hard work and for carrying on Caitlin's legacy of kindness. You can support their fundraising efforts or join a team to help make a difference this August. Thank you 🤍🙏

Benjamin knows what it means to work hard. From helping his family at home to staying committed in school, he wakes up every day with determination and focus.💪

Caitlin’s story is featured in the latest issue of Elle magazine, which arrived in stores this morning. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to ensuring women are treated with dignity, particularly during their most vulnerable moments.

In Australia, many women face significant hardship, such as leaving hospital after domestic or sexual violence. In these moments, access to basic essentials is a critical step toward recovery and independence.
Convoy of Hope supports these women through programs like Dress Her With Dignity. By providing brand-new clothing and hygiene items, the program helps restore choice and provides a practical foundation for women as they begin to rebuild their lives.
