🐯 Yes, those markings are real. And yes, Mishy is looking for a home.

Meet our very handsome 11-year-old Bengal.

Mishy has all the striking good looks you'd expect, but behind that tiny-tiger exterior is an older gentleman who'd much prefer to take things slowly. 💛

He's clever, curious and deeply affectionate with the people he trusts, but Mishy isn't an instant-best-friends kind of guy. New environments and unfamiliar faces can be overwhelming, so he'll need someone willing to give him time and let him decide when he's ready to come closer.

Once you're in? That's when you get to know the real Mishy. 🥹

🐯 Clever and curious
💛 Affectionate with his trusted people
🧸 Still enjoys playtime
🏡 Looking for a calm, stable home
🐾 Happiest when affection happens on his terms

He's not necessarily looking to spend his retirement permanently attached to your lap. Mishy is more about companionship, hanging out nearby and choosing when he'd like some affection.

So yes, he's incredibly handsome.

But we're looking for someone who'll fall for the cat underneath those beautiful Bengal markings too. 💛

Get to know Mishy via the link in the comments.

England is launching a nearly $600 million push to get people sleeping rough off the streets by Christmas.

The government has announced £442 million in funding aimed at helping people currently sleeping outdoors move into accommodation and receive longer-term support.

The plan includes housing, health services, addiction treatment and help designed to stop people from simply returning to the streets weeks later.

It takes inspiration from the “Everyone In” program used during the pandemic, when thousands of rough sleepers were rapidly moved into temporary accommodation.

The goal this time is similarly ambitious:

Give everyone sleeping rough in England a route off the streets by Christmas.

Spending hundreds of millions to try to make sure nobody has to sleep outside during winter is one of England’s biggest homelessness interventions in years.

The real test will be whether those homes remain available long after Christmas is over.

Just as property managers get to grips with one reform, another arrives.

The phased rollout of Smart Rental Bonds is now underway in Parramatta, Penrith and the Central Coast. The new system will allow eligible renters to transfer their bond between NSW rental properties, with a statewide rollout expected by the end of 2026.

While the initiative aims to make moving easier for renters, it also introduces another process for property managers and agencies to understand, explain and implement.

REINSW has prepared an update outlining what’s changing, who is eligible and what the rollout means for the profession. We’re also continuing to advocate for a more considered pace of reform and practical outcomes for those responsible for implementing these changes every day.

AFAC has released the Seasonal Bushfire Outlook for spring 2026 with fire authorities predicting a heightened risk of fire across northern and southeastern NSW, south-east Queensland, northeastern Tasmania, parts of WA, SA and Victoria, and large parts of the NT.

Read here: https://www.afac.com.au/public-resources/seasonal-bushfire-outlook-spring-2026

AFAC CEO Rob Webb said: “This outlook highlights a heightened risk of fire across several parts of the country, driven by a combination of dry conditions in the east and increased fuel loads through parts of central and northern Australia."

"The variety of risk factors across different regions reinforces the need for communities to understand their local conditions and prepare early."

The Seasonal Bushfire Outlook is an expert analysis of bushfire fuels, past rainfall, temperature, and climate outlooks undertaken by the Bureau of Meteorology and fire agencies across Australia.
