No, this isnโt a painting!
This is the exceptional winner of the 2025 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year, a South Australian Museum exhibition.
Fractal Forest, was captured by Ross Gudgeon in Indonesia and shows the inside-out view of a cauliflower soft coral. ๐ชธ
The coral is named for its characteristic appearance that resembles a cauliflower, with its bump-like polyps that give it a soft texture.
Ross managed to capture this perspective using a Nauticam EMWL, which is an underwater version of an insect eye lens.
A mind-boggling perspective that has you questioning realityโฆ๐คฏ
Come and see it in person, alongside some other spectacular images of the world around us ๐ท
