Our story
Berrylands station looks a bit drab. By adopting it, we can improve the area’s appearance and make using the station a more pleasant experience.
The effort is being organised by the Rose Walk Residents Association (the next road over from Chiltern Drive/Berrylands Station) along with businesses nearby. We already have approval for planters/flowers on the station site and enthusiastic support from railway employees at Berrylands. We also have the support of local councillors.
Initially we want to plant a variety of flowers, along with hardy herbs (in case commuters need a bit of Rosemary on the way home) in a long planter. We’ll be needing a few volunteers to help with that, and to w**d and tidy, to keep it looking good. The local businesses will set up a rota for watering.
Once we have demonstrated that the scheme works, we hope to add to it with window boxes and hanging baskets to create a brighter, nicer-looking station environment.
