PETA have launched a life-like silicone pig that replaces real animals in school dissection. It's called Kind Piglet™ and features color-coded organs and easy, setup and cleanup, offering students a hands-on dissection experience without the cruelty, mess, or hazardous chemicals, including formaldehyde, that come with the use of real, preserved piglets.
It's the first-ever classroom pig model and addresses a critical need: An estimated 500,000 fetal pigs are used in dissection each year in the United States; some are still alive when cut from their dead mother's womb, only to be killed and their bodies sold for science class.
