ARE YOU A YOUNGGUN? Aged between 15–19 and ready to try something new?
The ASRLQ Young Guns Surfboat Academy is a four-week program giving young people the chance to get on the water, build strength, learn new skills and experience what surfboat rowing is all about.
🚣 Learn surfboat rowing + surf lifesaving skills
💪 Build strength in the gym
🤝 Develop teamwork and confidence
🌊 Get involved in patrols, craft + beach training
⛑️ Learn first aid + safety skills for life
No experience? No worries. No major commitment, either. Just come along and give it a go!
📅 Wednesdays | 4:30pm Gym
📅 Saturdays | 6:30am Boats
You don’t need to be a surf club member to join. All 15–19 year olds are welcome!

Our Alex Masters have done us proud! 💛🖤

A huge performance from Karyn Cook, Natalie Jones, Marilyn Clarence, Sarah and Alison Windsor, bringing home an incredible 24 podium finishes across individual and team events.

🥇 10 x 1st place finishes
🥈 9 x 2nd place finishes
🥉 5 x 3rd place finishes

From the surf and sand to board and ski, our ladies put in an outstanding effort across the competition, including two team wins in the 150 Years Swim Team and Board Relay.

What a way to represent Alex!

🚤 Introducing ‘Bronny’!

Yesterday, we proudly unveiled the newest member of our IRB fleet, ‘Bronny’, named in recognition of Life Member Bronwyn Champness.

Bronwyn was awarded Life Membership in 2012, recognising her longstanding contribution, dedication and service to our Club. It was wonderful to have Bronwyn there for the unveiling and to celebrate her connection to the Club in such a special and lasting way.

We’re proud to see ‘Bronny’ join the fleet and carry the name of someone who has given so much to our Club out onto the water. 🌊
