Cracking ride today with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Noosa, rain, shine, and maximum dapper chaos.

A few drops tried to ruin the vibe, but honestly… they never stood a chance. Spirits were high, scooters were shiny, and Chris in his kilt was out there serving full Highland hurricane energy.

Best dressed? Between the tweed, the moustaches, and Chris flashing more leg than a Scottish summer, the competition was fierce.

What started as a slightly gloomy morning, with us all wondering how much we’d be dodging rain showers, quickly turned into an absolutely cracking day for a ride. The weather held out, the roads dried up, and the Sunshine Coast delivered in style ☀️

We had 8 scoots roll out for the day, including a couple of riders all the way from Melbourne and one of our Brisbane crew joining in. Always great to see a mix of familiar and new faces on a ride.

The morning kicked off the right way, with coffee and pies near the Banana Bender Pub. Plenty of laughs, catch ups and questionable jokes were shared before helmets went on and engines fired up.☕️

From there, we headed into the stunning Glasshouse Mountains, and wow, it did not disappoint. Rolling green hills, lush forest surrounds, sweeping views across the hinterland out to the ocean, and those iconic mountain formations at every turn. There were countless lookout and photo opportunities, even if our ride leader may have casually cruised past most of them 👀

We also had a bit of a “first” for the club today. Out of 8 scooters, we had 7 modern GTS and GTV 300s and one PX leading the pack. At one point, while tackling the winding hills around Montville and Maleny, the moderns managed to lose the ride leader… yes, all of us lost the single PX we were following. Even better, it happened while heading uphill, which somehow made it even more amusing watching a pack of 300s wondering where the lone PX had disappeared to. Eventually, we regrouped, found our leader, and carried on, a little more tightly packed after that.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We wrapped things up rolling back down the range and finishing at our go to baked potato spot, which absolutely hit the spot after a big morning in the saddle.🥔🧀🥓

Huge thank you to Karen for planning and leading the ride and to Jess for tailing and keeping an eye on the crew throughout the day.

Judging by the feedback, this one is already being called a favourite. And it is easy to see why. This ride truly had it all. Stunning scenery, relaxed cruising sections, steep climbs and descents, and some of the most picturesque mountain and forest views you will find anywhere.

Happy Birthday Vespa! 🛵🎉

What an incredible way to celebrate 80 years of Vespa with our community today!

A massive thank you to our Sunshine Coast members who made the big trip down to the Gold Coast. That’s no small journey and we loved having you there. The support across our clubs means everything.

A huge shoutout to Karen and her committee, and Mario and Rob and their committees for helping bring this celebration together. So much work goes on behind the scenes and it really showed 👏

We had 50 scoots roll in for the occasion, creating an awesome atmosphere from the very start.

The day kicked off with an early morning ride led by Dave Fitch, followed by a stop at the delicious Paddock Bakery for coffee and breakfast ☕🥐 Perfect start for the early birds.

From there, we enjoyed a BBQ lunch courtesy of VCGC before gathering for speeches from the three presidents. It was a great moment to reflect on the community and camaraderie that makes our Vespa clubs so special, along with some exciting chats about upcoming events like shared rides, the SEQ Rally and AVD next year.

Then came the cake… and it definitely lived up to the hype. All three presidents cut the first slice together, a really special moment that captured the bond between our clubs before it was shared around.

We also had some special edition event stickers floating around to mark the day… a great little keepsake!

To finish it all off, we headed out for a magnificent ride through Tamborine Mountain and across the Beechmont lookouts. The views over the water and Gold Coast skyline were absolutely unreal.

Most importantly, it was a fantastic opportunity to come together with our sister clubs, connect, and share the ride.

Thanks again to everyone who made the journey… days like this are what it’s all about 🛵✨

What a ride today!
We kicked things off at Tarella Brewery on their very last day of operation. No coffee to be found, so the convoy rolled on to Mrs Brown Diner in Belli Park — the coolest retro-inspired spot for a proper coffee and breakie.
Great to catch up with our very own Queen of Postie Bikes, and even better… the weather finally held!
Today’s highlights:
- 1 × rogue pumpkin
- 1 × dragon fruit
- 1 × Sip Speedo with absolutely no power
- Mirrors that refused to adjust
- And, as always, plenty of laughs
