This World Health Day, we’re celebrating the power of local food and the important role it plays in keeping our community healthy.
Through the Healthy Loddon Campaspe Partnership, local councils and organisations are working together to improve health and wellbeing across our region.
Choosing locally grown fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy and lean meats means:
✅ Fresher, tastier produce
✅ Supporting local growers and retailers
✅ Reducing food miles and environmental impact
✅ Enjoying seasonal food that supports good health
✅ Strengthening our local economy
Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables is one of the simplest ways to support good health, and our region offers an abundance of fresh, affordable options grown close to home.
On World Health Day, we encourage everyone to support our own by choosing locally grown produce and celebrating the people who help put healthy food on our plates.
