Jewish Care South-East Queensland Jewish Care South-East Qld Inc., formerly known as Gold Coast Jewish Community Services Inc., was formed in 1985. Go to 'About You' for further details.

Community Services is a very demanding but rewarding portfolio and relies heavily on volunteers. Jewish Care South-East Qld Inc. continues to offer support to those in need when and where possible. We continue to work closely with fellow Jewish Community organisations as well as Jewish Care NSW & Jcare Brisbane on request. Our Platform and Program consists of the following:

Home visits to members

on request. Referrals to ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team). Government care packages and Providers. Assist in local and Government departments. Assist elderly members to relocate to Aged Care Facilities interstate. Assist elderly members to relocate to Aged Care Facilities on the Gold Coast. Professional – Access to Councillors, Doctors/Solicitors and other professionals – mental health – family trauma – disability assistance. Shoah Survivor Assistance and Care:

Assist with Claim Conference Applications – Tikvah program – assist with independent living with qualified Jewish carers. ALL CASES ARE TREATED AS STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL

This evening begins Yom HaShoah יום השואה the Jewish memorial day for the Holocaust.

‎Shoah is a Hebrew word which specifically denotes the N**i effort to annihilate the Jews, as distinct from other instances of genocide against other peoples throughout history.

‎In specific terms, the Shoah refers to the systematic annihilation of six million Jews by Germany’s N**i regime and its accomplices.

‎The Shoah did not happen in a vacuum. Therefore, let us not ignore 2000 years of layers and layers of anti-Jewish history and indoctrination, that left Jews as convenient targets for Jew haters and conspiracy theorists.
