We have become aware that another disability expo that was scheduled to run in Melbourne this weekend on Friday and Saturday (hosted by another organisation) at MCEC has been cancelled.

We understand that there has been no communication from the organisers to exhibitors who have booked exhibition space, nor attendees who have registered to attend.

Venue security is in place to turn people away and so we wish recommend that you not to attempt to attend the MCEC on either Friday or Saturday this week.
Unfortunately, there is some confusion around the official dates of our expo - especially as AI and other sources conflate the two events.

To avoid any confusion, we want to reiterate that the one and only Melbourne My Future, My Choice Disability Expo will be held on 20–21 November 2026, Door 1 Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

For more than 11 years, ImpactInstitute has proudly delivered the My Future, My Choice Disability Expo series across Australia. We greatly value the trust placed in us by exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and the wider disability community.

What happens when employers, support services and people with disability come together with a shared goal?

Our latest evaluation report explores this through the massive success of our WorkAbility Expos Program.

Through WorkAbility Expos, people with disability, including those with high support needs, gained greater understanding of employment pathways, connected directly with inclusive employers, and accessed information about the supports available to help them succeed.

We found that:
✔ Participants expanded their knowledge of employment pathways and available supports
✔ Connections with employers created new opportunities for future employment
✔ Workshops increased confidence and readiness to pursue work goals

👉 What does it mean?
When employers embrace inclusive hiring and people have access to the right information, support and networks, it leads to a more inclusive workforce.
