Today was another truly humbling and emotional day for The Melbourne Locals. We successfully collected and delivered 24 crates of rescued food from Woolworths to the Salvation Army – Werribee to help support vulnerable individuals and families within our community facing hardship and food insecurity.
Seeing this amount of food being redirected to people in need instead of going to waste is something that fills me with immense gratitude and purpose. Every crate represents meals, hope, and support for families doing it tough.
A very special thank you to all the amazing volunteers at Salvation Army – Werribee who generously gave their time and energy to assist with unloading the food supplies today. Your kindness, teamwork, and commitment to helping the community is truly inspiring and greatly appreciated.
Together, through collaboration and compassion, we can continue making a real difference in the lives of those who need support the most.
