Today we celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day and this year's theme, Living Our Truth.

Living Our Truth honours the power of truth-telling, the sharing of knowledge across generations, and the importance of celebrating the voices, stories and strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities. It recognises that identity, belonging and cultural strength are nurtured through connection to culture, community, family and Country.

At The MacKillop Institute, we recognise the importance of creating safe, connected and culturally responsive environments where children and young people can thrive. Today, we celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as the next generation of leaders, carrying forward strong voices, stories and knowledge for the future.
