Today is World Mental Health Day, a crucial reminder for us all, especially for electrical workers.

In industries like ours the hidden weight of mental health can sometimes be overlooked. These are high-stress roles, involving long hours, constant deadlines, and safety concerns.

Yet, even the toughest amongst us need a moment to pause, breathe, and check in on our mental health. Recognizing these challenges is the first step to creating a supportive environment where mental well-being is a priority, not just an afterthought.

Let's unite in encouraging our friends, family, and workmates to prioritise their mental health. Share your stories, be open, and show compassion.

Spread the word, and let’s stand together for a healthier, more supportive industry! ✊⚡

The Townsville BTG walk for mental health is this Saturday!

This year, the Townsville BTG has organised a walk along The Strand, followed by a BBQ breakfast, to recognise World Mental Health Day. We’d love for you to come along, bring the family and support a great cause on Saturday October 10th!

We also have limited-edition shirts available for purchase, with all proceeds being donated to MATES. MATES play a vital role in our industry, supporting workers through some of their darkest times. Please use the link below to purchase a shirt and show your support.

Right now, Australians’ super is being targeted. Clickbait ads pop up promising free health checks and better returns. Someone clicks. They get a call. A pitch follows.

The result might be that their super is moved into something that could have higher fees, less oversight, and more risk. Some people have lost their retirement savings this way.

Know the signs. Stop. Check. Keep your super in safe hands.
