𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄: 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 hits State High’s I block on Thursday, Week 10, 17 September @ 5 - 8pm.

Join us for food, fun, music, dance, drama, media, film and visual art as student works transform the corridors and rooftop of I Block.

BSHS Foundation Day Celebrations yesterday with another group of State High Legends recognised…..

Today, we celebrated the foundation and proud history of Brisbane State High School at our annual 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲.

It was a special opportunity to reflect on the privilege of being part of this extraordinary school community and to recognise the people whose achievements embody the spirit of State High.

As part of the ceremony, nine distinguished alumni were inducted as new Legends of State High. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐌 (𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟖) was the first to be inducted before introducing the remaining eight past students selected by the Legends Committee to join this prestigious group.

What a day! 💙❤️💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made State High Day such a success.

To our incredible volunteers who gave their time before, during and after the event… to the generous donors who kept us stocked with supplies… to our wonderful community members, families, old scholars and supporters who came along to enjoy the day… thank you.

Every sausage, every burger, every drink and every book purchased did so much more than satisfy an appetite. Every dollar raised strengthens our school community, supports our students in their sporting, cultural and academic pursuits, and helps create opportunities for them to thrive.

The day had everything we could have hoped for. The Alumni Debate was fiercely contested (our students will no doubt come back bigger and stronger next year!), the First XV delivered a thrilling last-minute victory, and even the weather played its part.

Events like State High Day don’t happen by accident. They are built on thousands of volunteer hours, countless acts of generosity, and a community that continues to show up for one another.

Thank you for making State High Day 2026 one to remember.
