I've once again had my best course checkers out there and here is the official report

1. We have come back extra floofy, we think that means it's windy

2. There are lots of birdie friends out this morning, specially some noisy plovers at the start line, so the course may need a tiny adjustment

Overall 4 paws up 🐾🐾

Marshal Frankie isn't allowed to marshal on her own, so we need an extra marshal for this weekend, anyone willing?
You will have fantastic views of Sorell at the top of the hill and can say hello to the donkeys on your way

Other non-mandatory positions also available, including another tail walker, parkwalkers, photographers and marshals.

Congratulations to Mel and Teresa who completed their 25th parkruns. An amazing achievement.

We had visitors from the local Hobart area and from southern Queensland.

The event was made possible by 11 volunteers:

Jan, Darrel, Carolyn, Tracey, Claire, Cori-Lee, Jeremy & Charlie, Ben & Frankie, Linda N, Linda W and RD Belinda

Morrning participants and volunteers.

The course is all good. There is a puddle just after the bridge heading to the cemetery. There are a few small puddles in the usual spots (near the entry to the loop etc.)
The grass is a bit damp (given the rain etc.).
Puppies stayed home today, so no paws rating today.
But 2 thumbs up from our amazing course checker.

Don't forget the football finals are on so be courteous with your parking.

See you at 08:50 for the first timers briefing, 08:55 for the RD briefing and we will aim to start at 09:00

This Saturday is the 22nd of August which means it is a tutu parkrun (if you feel comfortable wearing one).

Before we can brighten the awesome area of Pembroke park by wearing tutus, we need some people to wear their tutus and help to fill the volunteer roster.

This week we need the following roles filled:
1x finish token hander outer šŸŽ«
2 x marshals at turn around points āŒ

Please get touch with us via messenger or email ([email protected]) if you can help fill the volunteer roster this week.

Or stand at a turnaround point and direct people.
It is tutu August so please get into the spirit of things and wear a tutu if you have one.
Pets welcome to wear one also.
