Beautiful wildlife right at our door step. Lambert’s beach, feeding ground to the majestic and most incredible bird, the red-tailed Black Cockatoo. It’s always exciting to see them in the wild having fun nursing young ones. However, after recent storms and cyclones, we lost more than 30+ trees, this lack of vegetation on our foreshore creating erosion & the supporting food source for these beautiful birds. After the recent beach nourishment and sand revegetation program taken place here at Lambert’s Beach, we still need to work on replacing all the trees that were lost and replanting new ones to ensure better survival of our foreshore as well as preserving the very food source these incredible birds feed on.
