There’s something deeply moving about gathering in the quiet of the dawn service. A shared stillness and reflection, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who served.

Returning for the morning service, thousands came together. Families, veterans and young people stood side by side, united in gratitude. The sound of the Last Post and a sea of bowed heads is something that never loses its impact.

Thank you to the Centenary Suburbs RSL and everyone who attended and helped honour this important day.

Lest we forget.

What a lovely way to start the day ☀️

It was a pleasure chatting this morning with Senator Jane Hume, alongside Senator James McGrath, Councillor Sarah Hutton and the lovely Shaleen from Westlake Dental. A great conversation covering a range of important issues, with plenty of insight and perspective shared.

Always a valuable opportunity to connect and exchange ideas. 😊💙

What a fantastic evening at the Premier’s Lunar New Year Reception! 🧧✨

It was wonderful to see so many familiar local faces among the huge turnout; a real reflection of the vibrant and diverse community we’re so lucky to be part of.

A beautiful night of celebration, culture and connection as we welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse.

Wishing everyone a year filled with strength, energy and good fortune ahead! 🐎🔥

What a day! 🇦🇺

As Australia Day comes to a close, I hope you’ve had a chance to relax, enjoy some good food, and spend time with the people who matter most. Whether it was a BBQ, a swim, or just a lazy day in the sunshine, I hope it was a good one.

Here’s to appreciating this beautiful country and the communities that make it special. Hope you’re winding down tonight feeling grateful and maybe just a little sun-kissed ☀️

If you want to follow the local page for our police district, myPolice Brisbane South and Redland is the one (link below)! It covers everything south of the Brisbane River and goes from Jindalee out to Wynnum/Redlands and south to the Logan Motorway. It is a large area, but it will still focus on crime and issues in our local part of the community.

Give it a follow 👍 for local programs, number plate events etc and stay informed.

I really enjoy volunteering at the annual Mount Ommaney Special School Christmas wrapping station at Mt Ommaney Centre and this year I was accompanied by Linda from ward office 🙌

We had a great time wrapping many, many gifts of all shapes and sizes (thanks to Linda for doing the round ones) and chatted to a lot of happy locals. Best of all, everyone gave generously to support the school 🥰 Thank you and merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Tonight, I was proud to have organised, through the Centenary & Districts Chamber of Commerce, an evening with Hamish Watson – founder of the Café 63 empire.

Sitting alongside fellow small business owners, it was incredibly inspiring to hear Hamish’s journey firsthand. Having the opportunity to chat openly and ask candid questions made the session truly invaluable.

One standout reminder from Hamish: “Opportunity whispers – be ready to hear it.” 👏

A fantastic evening of learning, connection and motivation.

The LNP State Council was held on the sunny Gold Coast last weekend; such a great opportunity for grassroots members to connect, share ideas, and chat policy with our State and Federal MPs.

I love hearing the passion and perspectives that come from all over Queensland — it’s what keeps our party strong and community-focused.

If you’ve ever wanted to understand more about politics or have your say in shaping policy, getting involved is a great place to start. You can join the LNP here 👉 https://www.lnp.org.au/join

Feeling so lucky to be part of The Lord Mayor’s Writers In Residence Program with Cr Sarah Hutton ✨

What a treat to meet two absolute legends — Matthew Reilly and Bryan Brown 🙌

🔥 Both totally engaging…
🧠 But their writing methods? Couldn’t be more different. From fast-paced action and wild imagination 🏎️💥 to raw, real storytelling that hits straight from the heart ❤️

So inspiring — proof there’s no one right way to write, just your own.
