The Music Makers is a not for profit fun, loving and entertaining performance group of sport and rec services at The Disability Trust. The Music Makers showcase their abilities rather then their disabilities when they met weekly for 1.5 hours to learn dance routines, songs and performance techniques. The Music Makers is ran by volunteer’s who donate their time to teach and care for The Music Maker

The Music Makers are directed by Melissa Tierney, Melissa works closely with The Music Makers and choreographer Nicole Farrugia to create weekly lessons teaching a group of those with a disability dance moves, percussion pieces, movement pieces, singing, performance techniques and skills. The Music Makers are supported not only by Melissa and Nicole but by on-stage helpers and a wonderful team of volunteers who make up the crew… or as they like to be called The Music Maker’s family. The Music Makers practice every week during school terms and often have school holiday work shops performing at concerts, functions, charity events, ceremonies, eisteddfods and much more in preparation for their annual fundraiser show- The Creative Performance Evening By Those With A Disability which is May each year. We draw in a full of house crowd of keen supporters of the to help raise money to provide sporting and recreational activities and equipment for those with a disability throughout the Illawarra through The Disability Trust. We are always looking for Music Maker sponsors, event sponsors, donations, volunteers etc…
