Today, we gathered to connect and reflect on National Sorry Day, marking the start of National Reconciliation Week.
It was a meaningful opportunity to listen, share stories, and honour the strength, resilience, and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
On this day, it is important to learn about our shared history, the National Apology, and the Stolen Generations through engagement, listening, and understanding. National Sorry Day is also a time to acknowledge the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors and reflect on how we can all contribute to healing and reconciliation.
Reconciliation Week reminds us that reconciliation is not a single moment, but an ongoing journey, grounded in truth-telling, respect, and meaningful action. Together, we continue to walk toward a more inclusive and compassionate future.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. May we continue to listen deeply, learn openly, and stand together in the spirit of reconciliation, healing, and hope.
