This is the latest offering from the Border Landcare Organic Group. Looks like a cracker!

It's Spring time, folks, and what better way to celebrate the warmer weather than to spend a morning at a bird watching site. On September 20th the BLOG meeting is at a little 5 acre gem near Tenterfield known as Focus on Feathers. Over the years many different birds have been seen and photographed on the land. The site is in need of a little tending and our group is meeting to help with a bit of planting, a spot of fireweed removal and a light prune of some older natives to regenerate new growth. Everyone is welcome, even if you just choose to sit and watch the birds building nests and feeding on the masses of native plants. Message for details if you're interested.

Sharing this post from our new group Border Landcare Organic Group. Most of you folks would know that the Stanthorpe Eco Expo has now morphed into BLOG, but for anyone who missed it, we now have monthly get togethers where we can go into a little more depth with the topics we love to talk about.

With some sadness, the Stanthorpe Eco Expo Committee has voted to mothball the Eco Expo for the time being, basing the decision on a number of factors including time and energy of the organising committee. So many thanks to all those people who helped make the Stanthorpe Eco Expo a great day for the past five years.
We loved the celebratory community atmosphere that the Stanthorpe Eco Expo nurtured, but it’s time for us to take a different path. It’s time for us to morph into a different format.
As they say, one door closes and another opens, and the door is now wide open for the Border Landcare Organic Group (BLOG) to make a star reappearance.

Some readers might remember BLOG – it was an informal group which met once a month, often on a member’s property, and covered a diverse range of organic gardening and farming topics – biochar to biodiversity, water divining to love grass management, biodynamics to permaculture to sheep farming; BLOG was a wonderful introduction to leading a sustainable life.
And it’s back! We aim to have meetings once a month, but we haven’t worked out the program yet, so if you would like to be involved come to the first meeting, at Craven Hill Farm, 1535 Amiens Road, Amiens at 10am Saturday January 25th. Bring $2, a camp chair, a KeepCup, food to share and your enthusiasm.

Thanks,
Debbie, Philippa and Sarah.
