Hosted by LEAD Connect Ltd and LEAD Professional Development Association Inc. and supported by Blacktown City Council, this gathering opens space for courageous, honest conversations about the often unseen but deeply harmful realities of Domestic and Family Violence, including the fast-growing and devastating impacts of technology-facilitated coercion and control.
Controlled is a powerful documentary that amplifies the real, lived stories of women whose experiences were overlooked, dismissed or never believed. Their truth is a reminder that change doesnโt happen by accident - it happens when communities refuse to look awayโฆ when communities choose to listen, to learn and to act.
Produced by LEAD Connect Ltd and LEAD Professional Development Association Inc. with support from Cumberland City Council and in collaboration with Harman Foundation, Euphony Films, Toongabbie Legal Centre, Sudanese Australian Health Wellbeing Association (SAHWA), advocates and community leaders including Rev John Jegasothy, Susai Benjamin, Sue Advani, Angharad Candlin, Harinder Kaur, Dr Ahlam Ibrheem, Kyra Quinlivan, Sumeet Saigal and Pratigya Adhikari to name a few this screening reflects our collective commitment to building safer, stronger communities for all.
The UNiTE campaign symbolises individual responsibility and united action, a perfect reflection of why this screening matters. Every person in the room strengthens our shared capacity to respond with empathy, insight and purpose.
Stand with us. UNiTE for safety. UNiTE for justice. UNiTE for change.
