It started with a simple question... By the end of the afternoon, that question had turned into smiles, laughter, confidence and a room full of people saying, โI didn't know I could do that!โ
Our very first ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ๐' ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, held on Sunday, 21 June 2026, brought together more than 35 seniors from diverse backgrounds, each arriving with their own experiences, questions and a willingness to learn something new.
What they discovered wasn't complicated technology. It was practical, everyday support that could make life just a little bit easier.
Together we explored how AI can help with things like:
๐ Understanding medications and health information
๐ฒ Finding meal ideas that suit individual needs
โ๏ธ Writing messages, emails and letters with confidence
๐ Creating birthday cards, speeches and special messages
๐ Learning something new, simply for the joy of it
๐ Making sense of confusing forms and official letters
The real highlight wasn't the technology โ it was watching confidence grow.
People who had never used AI before started asking questions. The room was filled with curiosity, encouragement and plenty of laughter. It was a reminder that learning has no age limit and that digital inclusion is about opening doors, building confidence and helping people stay connected and independent.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and embraced something new. Your enthusiasm made the day truly special.
If your seniors' group, community organisation or service would like to host an interactive AI session, we'd love to work with you to help more senior Australians discover how AI can make everyday life easier.
