Last night, the Gov Hub committee attended the School of Law, University of Tasmania to attend the Social Justice and Equity Fair run by the Tasmania University Law Society - TULS

Despite a dysfunctional QR code (ultimately rectified by tech whizz Jasper Madsen), we were able to share our website with attendees, have great chats about our initiative and share the work we're doing across the Tasmanian NFP community.

Our committee are all (proudly) graduates from the School of Law, University of Tasmania.

We're excited to watch our committee's skills grow beyond the theoretical, and in to practical application. Watch this space!

On the 1st of July, the members of the 2025-2026 Governance Hub Inc. committee met with the incoming committee at the UTAS School of Law for a handover session.

We thank Joe Kelly, Logan Stcey and Thomas Jetson for their time and energy over the last year, and look forward to them joining the Gov Hub alumni community!

The committee continues to be overseen by Dr Rachel Baird, with 2025-26 committee members Matilda Grant, Darcy Heffernan and Emily Heathcote staying on.

Ash Burke, Bianca Jones, Jasper Madsen, Georgie McDermott and Edward Curtis join as committee members in the 2026-27 year... Well done, team!

We kick off our Governance Workshops, delivered with Clubs Tasmania, in Devonport this evening. We’ve even got a couple of clinics lined up, and are ready to chat about all things governance, strategy and decision-making!

Last night, The Governance Hub Inc. held its second webinar at the UTAS School of Law!

Moderated by Darcy Heffernan, the panel consisting of Donovan Castelyn CA, CTA, Shauna-Lee Ward and Chelsea Trubody-Jager, discussed all things essential finance for NFPs, drawing on examples from their extensive experience to give the audience a practical insight into managing committee finances.
