We kick off our Governance Workshops, delivered with Clubs Tasmania, in Devonport this evening. We’ve even got a couple of clinics lined up, and are ready to chat about all things governance, strategy and decision-making!

We’re getting excited to connect with all the clubs, associations and NFPs around Tasmania, and to set them on the path to good governance!

These practical, hands-on workshops will cover key governance topics through instruction and interactive activities, including:
✅ Understanding your organisation’s legal status and obligations
✅ The role of the committee and individual committee members
✅ Engaging effectively with members and stakeholders
✅ Looking up and planning for success (operations, goals & budgets)
✅ Identifying, understanding and managing risk
✅ Managing conflicts and responding appropriately

The workshops will be delivered by Committee members who are all graduate or recently admitted practising lawyers, alongside Dr Rachel Baird, Founder of the Governance Hub.

Last night, The Governance Hub Inc. held its second webinar at the UTAS School of Law!

Moderated by Darcy Heffernan, the panel consisting of Donovan Castelyn CA, CTA, Shauna-Lee Ward and Chelsea Trubody-Jager, discussed all things essential finance for NFPs, drawing on examples from their extensive experience to give the audience a practical insight into managing committee finances.
