How good was parkrun today?

We shared the Samford Parklands parkrun course with 6 first timers to parkrun - including Maria & Mirko who came all the way from Milan & ran in style!

Thanks to Lyn who marked her first volunteering stint too - some nimble barcode scanning delivered 🦺

Much appreciation to all our volunteers for making today’s event possible. 👏

The Personal Bests made for a very long list from Joseph at 19:31 to Debbie at 47:30. Clearly, everyone is getting excited with Pace Week coming next week.

A hearty congratulations to Keara on achieving your 25th Milestone - and for drawing in the cheering crowd as you sprinted across the finish line! Talk about a celebration!

Next week, we are achieving a milestone of our own - our 100th event!

We are looking for another marshal who can encourage & help on the course, and a volunteer photographer too.

Our regular volunteer photographer, Brian, and Rosemary are off on a Scandinavian holiday for the next month - have a great time & we look forward to hearing all about your trip when you return. Perhaps even seeing your photos, Brian?

Last week, our regular Volunteer Photographer, Brian, once again captured the push to be done near the finish line, the warmth of the morning sun on course and best of all, the fun that comes every week in the form of our wonderful community.

Come join us again tomorrow for a chance to wear the parkrun smile too!

Thanks everyone for coming out today. We had a bumper crowd of 173 for our parkrun #98. The pace was on up-front, plus there were some very fine tu-tus on display, and I'm told our finisher #22 was one of them 😊

Congrats to the many milestoners, and again a special thank-you to Jeff S for your 100th and for all the extra times you help with early setup 🙏

** Edan H - if you can please send us a message so we can get you added to the results - your finish token was recorded as a duplicate.

Don't forget - on September 5th we have our 100th event plus our seasonal Pace Week. We're still after pacers for 40 minutes and 50 minutes if anyone is keen ...
