Thank you to our local residents who came along to our recent February meeting of the Box Hill and Nelson Progress Association.

We were privileged to hear from Michael Edgar, the General Manager of The Hills Shire Council on what Council have planned for Box Hill.

Our next meeting will be held on Monday the 13th of April at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, at the Salvation Army on Edwards Road. We hope to see you then.

We were proud to join our friends at the Annangrove Progress Association who put on a massive Australia Day celebration for the local community.

However you are marking the occasion, we hope you are having a wonderful Australia Day.

The celebration features free rides, a 55” TV giveaway, BBQ and food offerings and a flag raising ceremony at 11am

Great news for Box Hill residents - especially our littlest ones! 🎉

We have created a concept plan for a new park, Stockhorse Avenue Reserve – and we want you to have your say on the design. 🗣️✨

Our plans include:
🛝 A state-of-the-art playground
🏀 Two basketball half courts
🧺 A picnic shelter with seating areas
⚽ A turf kick-about area
🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian pathways for easy access

We’ve worked hard in securing the land to build this facility, and this shows our commitment to rolling out infrastructure in an area that is undergoing a more than 20-year transition from rural to urban. 🏗️🌳

🗓️ The consultation period is now open to Have Your Say until Wednesday 11 February, 5:00pm.

All feedback received will be considered and any changes will be incorporated into the final design. 💬📝

Thank you to each of our local residents for attending the recent meeting and Christmas celebration of the Progress Association.

We were grateful to hear Federal updates from Caleb from Michelle Rowland MP's office, local initiatives from Councillor Mitchell Blue, a President’s Report from Vicki, news on Schools from Peter Gangemi and a local NSW RFS - Box Hill Nelson Brigade update from Bryan Macklin.

Thank you to our local community for your support in 2025. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a happy and successful 2026.

Please feel free to come along to our next progress association meeting on Monday the 9th of February 2026, 7pm for a 7:30pm start, Salvation Army Corps, 6A Edwards Road Nelson. We look forward to seeing you then.

For those who couldn't attend, the meeting minutes will be available exclusively to our financial members. Not a member yet? No worries! You can easily become one by paying a nominal fee of $10 for a full year. This not only grants you access to all meeting minutes but also helps us cover the operating costs of these meetings. It's a small contribution that makes a big difference!
