TMR Our McCrae Lions Club will be hosting a free sausage sizzle 8th October 2026 at the Bendigo Bank Dromana from 9:00am, so come on down and enjoy a sausage in bread with or without the onions.
Whether you're popping in to do your banking or just passing by, make sure you grab a snag, and say hi to the lovely Bendigo Bank staff and our wonderful Lions team.

ITS ON TMR weather prediction good so come on down to the Plaza where our McCrae Lions team will be Cooking up a feast of Bacon and Eggs till 12 and a Tasty Sausage Sizzle this Sunday 4th of October at the Rosebud Plaza with all proceeds going to Police Legacy.

Our Lighthouse will also be lit up Tonight in a new multicoloured theme representing The Michaelmas Daisy – "the symbol of police legacy in recognition of this cause.

Victoria Police Legacy is a charitable not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services to police families throughout Victoria who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
Should a serving or retired police officer or protective services officer, or their spouse/partner pass away, Victoria Police Legacy is there to provide ongoing support to the spouse/partner and children.

Our McCrae Lions team will be Cooking up a feast of Bacon and Eggs till 12 and a Tasty Sausage Sizzle this Sunday 4th of October at the Rosebud Plaza with all proceeds going to Police Legacy.

Our wonderful McCrae Lighthouse will be bathed in Blue and White tonight in recognition of Blue Ribbon Day

Blue Ribbon Day is remembered today 29 September, which coincides with National Police Remembrance Day.

It is a chance for our community to say thank you to those who protect and serve our community and ensure that those who have fallen are never forgotten.
The Foundation first launched Blue Ribbon Day in 1999, after the outpouring of community support for Senior Constable Rodney Miller and Sergeant Gary Silk who were tragically killed on 16 August 1998.

Our Magnificent Lighthouse is bathed in blue tonight to acknowledge World Maritime Day.
World Maritime Day is an official international observance led by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, to highlight the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, and the protection of the marine environment.
Although our McCrae Lighthouse is not operational any more it did serve to guide mariners through the South Channel on the eastern side of Port Phillip Bay for over a 100 years until decommissioned in 1994. Today it serves as a significant landmark on the Peninsula and our McCrae Lions are proud to be able to manage, maintain and illuminate the structure for worthwhile causes of which raises much needed awareness.
